Black Tie San Francisco City Hall Elopement

I believe that an elopement can be just as elegant and classic as a traditional wedding. And when combined with the innate intimacy derived from an elopement, I think there’s something really special about getting dolled up with the one you love and devoting yourself to one another.

While many people think of mountaintops or beaches when they hear the word “elopement,” I believe you can have a special and romantic elopement at San Francisco City Hall, filled with beautiful wedding details.

This black-tie affair featured a lush, overgrown garden bouquet from the Aubriana (Bloomery Co) in muted, neutral tones. Combined with the classic invitations featuring elegant and dreamlike calligraphy, and the incredible BHLDN dress, the bride reflected ethereal beauty and sophistication. The groom was done up perfectly in a sharp black tux getup—velvet bowtie and all! Some of my favorite details of the shoot include the handwritten vows in the most beautiful script (because it’s all about the vows in an elopement, right?!), the detailing and straps on the back of the gown, and the stunning Susie Saltzman ring. I love the idea of the bride and groom being able to save the pretty copy of their vows and remember their small, yet grand, affair forever!
